Item Description
Large 27.25x42.25 textured paper poster features art image of family near front entrance of pavilion w/text reading "Great In '64, Greater in '65." Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is an attraction located at the Magic Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort. Created by both Walt Disney and WED Enterprises as the prime feature of the General Electric (GE) Pavilion for the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, the exhibit showed visitors what life would be like in an all-electric community. After the Fair, the attraction was moved to Tomorrowland at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and renamed Carousel of Progress, remaining there from 1967 to 1973 before being replaced in Disneyland by America Sings in 1974. It reopened in its present home in Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom in 1975. Poster has been folded as issued but is o/w bright and NM. See rare press kit, previous item #1966.
