Item Description
Willie Stargell (1940-2001), was a professional baseball player who played his entire MLB career (1962-1982) as the left fielder and first baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NL. Over his 21 year career w/the Pirates, he helped his team capture six NL East division titles, two NL pennants and two World Series (1971, 1979). Stargell was inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1988. Large size Hilton bowling shirt has felt applique on back w/"Official Willie Stargell Celebrity Bowling Tournament" name. Front has 2.25" dia. pinback button w/star and bowling ball design w/"Roy" name. Applique has some even aging but shirt is clean aside from faint stain around collar. VF overall. Button is glossy and Exc. Something very different for the Pittsburgh Pirates collector.
