Item Description
Lot of three posters, measuring between 12x19" and 30.5x41". Smallest poster features "Lend Him A Hand" art by Sarka and has streak of dark aging at bottom w/some edge wear including some small tears and .5" tear at bottom. Horizontal fold line below art. Fine. Cardstock poster features patriotic design showing child praying w/mother (framed portrait of soldier father on wall) w/biplanes at top. Poster features printed prayer w/War Savings Stamps/Thrift Stamps text below. .5" off upper right corner w/some aging and edge wear. Fine. Largest poster features image by Clyde Forsythe depicting US soldier standing on battlefield holding rifle and three German helmets. Soldier has bloody bandage visible under doughboy helmet. "And They Thought We Couldn't Fight" text at top right. Additional text at bottom reads "Invest In The Victory Liberty Loan." Printed by Ketterlinus of Philadelphia, PA in 1918. Horizontal fold at center as issued, poster has some small tears along fold and shows moderate edge wear. Would display Fine/VF if matted and framed.
