Item Description
1-1/8" with two union bugs on lower curl. This button was produced for Kent Courtney's campaign for Governor of Lousiana in 1960. Courtney ran on the States Rights ticket and is known as one of the leaders of the radical right during this time. Additional text "State Sovereignty/Individual Liberty." Tiny pin point dots of missing paint throughout the surface and reverse shows 80% loss of paint along the rim which is not visible from the front. A small area where the blue paint applied slightly lighter on rim at 1 o'clock. VG/Fine. Scarce.
