Item Description
6" tall celluloid figure marked "Japan" in raised text on back. 1930s. Mickey Mouse is depicted in striped pants, wears a derby and has spring coil arms and tail. One hand depicted w/fingers spread out while the other depicts Mickey pointing w/index finger. Has a number of indents including on face under nose, backs of ears and backs of shoes. Back of head also has small air hole as made. Minor 1/8" hairline on wrist of one hand. None of these defects are really distracting and still quite impressive in its design and bright coloring. Fine. Among the most unusual Mickey Mouse celluloid figures we've seen. Michael J. Stern Collection.
