1" button with back paper from Brooklyn maker Thos. Jay Gleason. Button shows unspecified ship but with two ship names above and the words "Hand Baggage." Buttons would have been given to passengers apparently to authorize a personally carried piece of baggage. Rare and NM displaying Mint. This is the photo plate example from Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons shown in the section devoted to Transportation item #213. Comes with Hakes COA.
