Item Description
4.5x5.5x1.5" deep cardboard mailer with serial number on label "18730." Box has tanned and text on the side panels has faded from three of the four but front and back of the box remain unfaded. Premium consists of a set made by Daisy Mfg. with 5.5" long spring-loaded steel gun and a pair of 4" diameter 'Propeller' saucers with brightly colored spiral design. Issued by General Mills in 1933. With this example, and we believe the first we've seen, is a short steel rod formed with two angles which is inserted into an opening on the front center of the circular spring mechanism at the front of the barrel. Gun has a little silvery finish worn off the handle and a lesser bit off the barrel and the two spinners show very slight traces of paint wear. VF and a scarce boxed premium.
