Item Description
Large 36.25x70" fabric banner w/wooden board inside bottom stitched sleeve and tacked to wooden dowel rod at top for display at door of establishments. Banner features large full body image of Dennis the Menace hoisting large mug of "A&W Root Beer"w/"C'Mon In" word balloon. Small Hank Ketchum "-K" initial at bottom or Dennis image. Dennis was used by A&W for a short time in the 1960s (before the character moved onto Dairy Queen in 1971). As noted on back, banner was made by Golden State Banner Co. They did two different large banners like this featuring Dennis and both are scarce. Banner has some scattered aging/dust soiling and pinholes along right margin (one w/1/8" hole) and four vertical splits at upper right, measuring between 1.25" and 2". Bottom margin has some scattered aging/staining. Fine overall.
