Item Description
Glossy 8x10" Columbia Records publicity photo shows influential 1960s rock band The Byrds w/their name at bottom center and "Tickner/Dickson/Mgmt." Hollywood address at bottom right. Photo has been signed by all five founding members - David Crosby and Chris Hillman have both signed in blue ink, Mike Clarke (1946-1993) and Gene Clark (1944-1991) have both signed in red felt tip pen, Clark adding "Love From The Byrds" inscription at top right. Jim McGuinn has signed in black felt tip pen. Considered by critics to be one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, The Byrds pioneered the musical genre of folk rock, melding the influence of The Beatles and other British Invasion bands w/contemporary and traditional folk music. As the 1960s progressed, the band was also influential in originating psychedelic rock, raga rock and country rock. The line-up featured on this photo was a short-lived one, w/Clark leaving the band in early 1966. Some signatures blend a bit, but still and exceptional signed piece for this band. Some lt. handling wear but Exc. overall. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
