Item Description
1.25" reads "Vietnam Protest/Washington Easter 65 SPU." Those initials stand for Student Peace Union and other organizers of the event were Students For A Democratic Society (SDS) and the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). About 2,000 protestors were expected but turn-out estimates ranged from 15,000 to 25,000. Among the finest examples we've seen of this historic button. NM displaying Mint.
