Item Description
Pair of cardboard boxes w/nicely illustrated lids contain 15.5" long two-piece truck and trailer set in same style, just w/different markings both w/working friction. Made in Japan, 1960s. Both feature combination of tin litho and hard plastic components, w/both trucks having tin litho cabs w/plastic chassis, hollow vinyl tires w/metal hubs. Both trailer bodies are tin litho trailer w/plastic fronts/backs w/opening doors, fold down landing gears and vinyl tires w/metal hubs. Safeway box is marked "Distributed by Safeway Stores, Inc. and box is clean and tight w/just some edge creases. Box bottom shows heavy wear w/tape repairs, but overall box remains VF for display. Truck has a few minor pinpoint paint nicks. VF/Exc. A&P box is marked "Super Market Service Corp." shows scattered handling wear and obvious aging w/heavy moisture staining to top of lid. VG. Truck has a few minor pinpoint paint nicks. VF/Exc.
