Item Description
First is 1.5" and reads "Draft Goldwater For Senate." This is either an anti-Goldwater button from the 1964 campaign/primary or a button relating to his son Barry Goldwater Jr. and grassroots efforts in 1976 encouraging him to run for Senate in California. Confusing the matter is the fact that the few of these known were found in CA where Goldwater's son was a Congressman and where Barry Sr. waged a bitter battle with Rockefeller that ultimately was a major factor in his receiving the 1964 Republican nomination. Either way it's an unusual button that has full gloss and is NM displaying Mint. Second is a 1.25" button that is most certainly anti-Goldwater featuring the chemical symbol for urine "On" the chemical symbol for gold water. Curl reads "UUU 23 St. Marks Pl. NYC 10003". Perfectly centered with full gloss and almost no surface wear. NM, displaying Mint.
