Item Description
7x9.75x2-3/8" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains complete set by The Melman Mfg. Co. 1930s. Lid has corner tip/edge wear and main lid image has aging/dust soiling. VG. Complete w/original inserts, contents include three 48" long paper "films" w/scenes of Scrappy's adventures on wooden spools notched to be used w/included "Scrappy's Movie Theatre," a die-cut cardboard screen designed to look like a curtained movie theater screen. This slips over tray that holds "films" w/additional cardboard tray within. Each of the four notches in lid portion have small 1/8" to .25" tears. Fine. All scenes have been colored by owner as intended w/provided paints tablets and four and crayons. Two have been painted while the other has been colored w/crayons. "Films" show some scattered wear and are Fine overall. Crayoned film shows heavy wear at one end w/pieces missing. Good/VG. Rare set.
