Item Description
8.25x10x.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains complete set of four puzzles by Saalfield. ©1933. Lid features same art as one of the puzzles and all feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy (Dippy), Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. Box shows some scattered wear w/two lid corner splits and area of moderate soiling at Goofy image. VG/Fine. Puzzles scenes include - playing instruments/singing, photograph studio w/Mickey taking group photo, picnic and sideshow w/characters portraying bearded lady, wild man, snake charmer, strong man, smartest dog in the world and Mickey as manager. One piece from sideshow puzzle has bend w/surface paper break. VF overall. Music scene puzzle has two lt. scratches at left/right, each about 4" long. Fine. Others are NM. Choice, vibrant art. One of the nicest 1930s Disney puzzle sets. Rare set.
