Item Description
Lot of three premiums issued by Poll Parrot Shoes in the 1950s. 8.5x11" stiff paper "Poll Parrot's Howdy Doody Photo Album" w/12 pages. ©1948. Front/back covers and inner front cover each have different color photos of Howdy. Inside front facing page has printed bw photo of Howdy on Buffalo Bob Smith's shoulder. Four pages have 6.75x8.5" mounted glossy bw photos of Howdy, Clarabell, Mr. Bluster and Flub-A-Dub. Two center pages have "It's Howdy Doody Time" and "Poll Parrot Song" music/lyrics. Last page has photos featuring various devices used on the show. Inside back cover has "Howdy Flies High" Poll Parrot ad. Scattered handling wear/dust soiling/aging to covers. VG/Fine. Clarabell photo has some small areas of glue staining at corner but contents are Fine overall. Comes w/two 12x15" stiff paper sheets w/punch-out premium Howdy and Clarabell masks w/scored center lines. Bob Smith copyright used on items 1948-1951. Fronts features two images of Howdy along w/Poll-Parrot and TV show text and facsimile character signature. Opposite side of each sheet features punch-out pieces and assembly instructions. Each sheet has slightest trace of tanning, a few loose perforations but both remain unpunched and VF/Exc.
