6x9x1.5" illustrated cardboard box w/die-cut display main panel contains complete set of six tin of "One Hour Humbrol Plastic Enamel" paints and paintbrush for use in painting Aurora monster models. ©1963. Box text reads "Basic Monster Colors - Use Them Direct From Cans Or Mix-'Em For Weird Effects." Colors match lid color and include - "Bloody Red, Tombstone White, Ghoulish Yellow, Midnight Black, Deadly Blue" and green. Original store price sticker on main panel. Box shows moderate scattered wear w/creases and small tears to intricate die-cut tree branch design on main panel over bkg. image of haunted house, which has moderate scattered paint on it. This same image appears on box's back main panel. Box has some scattered corner tip wear and color rubs. Fine overall. Some paint tins have paint around lids, but are VF overall. Comes w/8.5x11" color wheel chart w/ideas for mixing paints. Sheet includes photo illustration of Aurora's Frankenstein model kit as well as illustrated images of Universal Monsters including The Phantom of the Opera, The Mummy, Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Wolfman. Folded as issued, sheet has small spot of paint staining at lower right. VF. Very rare and the must-have for Aurora collectors. First we've offered in our 49 years.
