Item Description
13.5x18.5x2" deep cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid featuring art done in the style of classic Aurora monster kits of the same period, but this is for Homelab kit No. MM 300 by Physio-Chem Corp. ©1965. Lid text to parents reads "Completely Safe! No Heat Or Flame Necessary! Over 100 Experiments!" Some of these experiments included "Instant Blood, Mystic Monster Milk Making, Ghoulish Green Globs, Witch's Bleach, Rubbery Bones, The Fiendish Fizz" and several others as noted in included illustrated instruction booklet. Kit is incomplete but includes original green insert which shows heavy and obvious wear w/3x3.5" circular hole burn through and through box bottom. Also included are three small glass test tubes (two w/corks), eyedropper, two plastic bags w/strips red and blue of "Mystic Parchment," hard plastic test tube rack w/raised "Homelab" name, tubular hard plastic rack (w/two corks) containing "Rainbow Potion, Witch's Brew," plastic stirring rod, foil/cardboard plate and "Mystic Writing Paper" tablet. These show scattered wear/aging and are Fine-Exc. Instruction book has some age spotting and is Fine overall. Box has had some corner repairs to lid, which is still bright and glossy. Box is Good/VG overall, but lid remains nice for display. Among the rarest 1960s monster-related items and very desirable in any condition. Only the second we've offered in our 49 years.
