Item Description
28x40" unnumbered/unsigned press proof for limited edition full color prints featuring art by famous Golden Age Batman artist Dick Sprang. Impressive and w/amazing details, Sprang provides a map of Batman's base of operations - the Batcave. Batman, Robin and Alfred are pictured at lower right. Cave includes various computer areas, two Batmobiles, Batplane, Batcopter, Batman's Whirly-Bat, Batboat, Batosphere and Batsub. Also included are trophy statues of villains The Joker, The Riddler, Catwoman and The Penguin. Batcave icons - giant penny and dinosaur model are also included. These lithographs were produced by Gotham Graphics (©1995 DC Comics) in two editions - Silver (edition of 500) and in the much more limited Gold (edition of 175), w/a select few existing proofs. This proof is for Silver edition and were produced to approve color and registration at press w/color bars at bottom. Untrimmed and rolled. Faint crease at upper right, o/w Exc.
