Item Description
Pair of pocket watches by the Elgin Watch Co. Each has movement w/engraved "Elgin Natl. Watch Co." name, referring to another name Elgin went by at the time of these watches' production - Elgin National Watch Company. Size 10, 1.75" dia. Gold-filled Open Face pocket watch w/filigree case front w/engraved monogram. 15 Jewels. Back of case features same design w/image of mill at center instead of monogram and opens to reveal engraved "Elgin Natl. Watch Co. - U.S.A. - 15 Jewels" text, serial number and inner mechanisms. White porcelain dial marked w/bold black numerals w/sub seconds dial at 6 o'clock position. 1918. Serial number 21727847. Bezel has a few lt. scratches to surface. Running. Fine overall. Size 10, 1-5/8" dia. Gold-filled Hunting Case pocket watch. 17 Jewels. Back of case features design w/triangular area for monogram, but this remains unused. Back of case opens to reveal engraved "Elgin Natl. Watch Co. - U.S.A. - 15 Jewels" text, serial number and inner mechanisms. Fancy white and pale blue enamel dial w/intricate design is marked w/black numerals w/sub seconds dial at 6 o'clock position. 1921. Serial number 24438416. Case shows lt. wear. Not running. Fine.
