"American Restaurant" 8.25x11.25" magazine w/78 pages and was published by Patterson Publishing Co. Jan. 1, 1960. "The News Magazine For Restaurant Executives," cover features "Li'l Abner Drive-In" spotlight w/photo of the restaurant bordered by Al Capp art. Magazine features six-age article on the new restaurant, featuring photos of the restaurant (including image of Li'l Abner merchandise including Shmoo balloons and Yokum dolls), Al Capp art and some of the menu items. Staple wear to cover, o/w Exc. Limited distribution. Comes w/"Sunday Bulletin - Tangle Comics" 1.25" pinback button featuring Li'l Abner portrait. From small set issued by Philadelphia, PA newspaper in the late 1940s. Exc. 10.25x18" die-cut cardboard display/sign for Li'l Abner Pioneer Qualatex balloons by Pioneer Rubber Co., c. late 1940s. Li'l Abner image at top w/images of Kigmy and Shmoo holding balloons w/portrait images of other characters, which are listed on display. Display also include die-cut areas to display balloon packages and tabs used to fold flattened display in dimensional one. Scattered age spotting, VF.
