Item Description
5x7" printed on thin cardstock w/blank back. ACC# R162. c. 1939 ©WDP. Features scene titled "The Winner" from "Hockey Champ" short featuring Donald Duck. Other shorts/films featured in this series include Snow White, Ferdinand, Brave Little Tailor, Donald's Lucky Day. Practical Pig and others. Little is known about this rarely seen issue. There are 25 in the set but aside from a full set in the legendary Burdick Collection (now housed in the Metropolitan Museum Of Art) only a few have surfaced over the years. Single examples have sold in the $1,000-2,0000 range at auction including Practical Pig which realized $1,405 in our last auction. That was the only other example from this set we have offered in our 49 years. Tiny corner tip wear but totally bright, clean and NM. A true non-sports rarity.
