Item Description
1.25" w/"W.F. Miller" back paper and "Ehrman Mfg. Co." on curl. Lady Liberty is portrayed in a garment of stars and stripes that encompass the oval portraits featuring the candidates. The design is meticulously detailed while being elegantly simple. For accuracy we note a trivial cluster of less than 1/32" black dots just to the right of the very center that are under the cello. and the result of a clog during printing. Almost no surface wear even in reflected light and colors that are off the charts fresh. Even considering the abundance of gorgeous designs produced during the golden age of campaign buttons this ranks among the most beautiful. Rare especially in this outstanding condition. NM displaying Mint. See the Taft/Sherman mate, item #190.
