Item Description
Smoking group made by service member stationed in Germany during post World War II occupation. All items and .25" thick base (w/engraved flowers and "Germany - 1947" text) are solid/cast aluminum except two large 5.5" tall brass shells. Humorous anti-Hitler figure was cast from plaster figure sold during the war that featured his bottom coated w/black match striker material. At some point a padded black fabric piece was added to serve as a pin cushion. This is now loose but could be easily reattached if desired. One of the shells contains an added lighter that lifts off. Small aluminum ashtray at right. Scattered aging but displays VF. An interesting and unique item.
