Item Description
Interesting anti-Axis folk art pair, consisting of one pair of full size 13.5" long carved wooden shoes and miniature pair of 3.75" long pair of carved wooden shoes. Both have been painted w/anti-Hitler images of each shoe. Large pair features portrait image of Hitler (w/swastika armband) w/"Seig Heil! 1940" text on one shoe w/image of Hitler mustached skull (w/X armband instead of swastika) crossed out in red on other shoe w/"Kaput! 1945" text. Scattered aging and wear but VF overall. Smaller shoes each feature rat w/swastika on it, one shoe has "Hitler" name at top while other shows rat dead and crossed out in red w/"Kaput" text. VF. First we've seen of either style in our 49 years. See following lot #869.
