3x5.5" postal covers. Included are striking examples featuring politicians, war heroes and Civil War era anti-traitor motifs. Of note are: Lincoln portrait flanked by flags w/quote "Whatever Our Politics, The Constitution Must Be Preserved"; multigate w/portraits of "Commanders Of The Corps D'Armees Of The Potomac" including, Maj. Gen Banks, Maj. Gen. McDowell, Gen. Keyes, Gen. Heintzelman and Gen. Sumner and three related to the death of Col. Ellsworth. Minor tape residue and signs of scrap book mounting on six of the reverses otherwise only minor handling wear. All are VF to NM.
