Item Description
2.25" tall flat aluminum tag with opening for a ribbon tie. Judge Baensch was 1894 and 1896  Lt. Gov. of Wisconsin. In 1904, he fought Robert LaFollette Sr. and S.A. Cook for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. There was a convention credentials dispute and Baensch withdrew after some delegates favorable to him were "counted out" by the credentials committee.
However, he was named a delegate to the 1904 GOP national convention. We surmise this earlier dispute accounts for the words "Party Peace" on this item below the names "Roosevelt" and "Baensch". Tiny age traces. Exc. Rare.
