Item Description
Lot of four, including two 1.75x2-1/8" metal Hestia lighters w/enamel paint and two 1-1/8x2.25" etched metal money clips, each w/tiny plastic baseball accent. All were released in 1962, the year Dodger Stadium opened. The stadium also served as the home of the Los Angeles Angels 1962-1965. To avoid constantly referring to another team, the Angels called the park Chavez Ravine Stadium (or just "Chavez Ravine"), after the geographic feature in which the stadium sits. Lot includes one of each item for each team. Lighters feature same image of stadium w/team name on front and image of player and two baseballs on back w/"Dedication - April 10, 1962" text. Exc. Money clips features incised team name at top and each team's name for the stadium at bottom along w/"62" date. Images of stadium are reversed and both feature small plastic baseball accent as if ball is flying out of stadium. Of note, Angels' ball has wings. Scattered aging. VF.
