Item Description
Lot of three items, two from the 1930s and ashtray from 1961. Wonderfully Art Deco designed 4.5" tall (5.75" to top of lift loop) plated metal cigarette holder in shape of baseball. When lifted by loop at top, baseball opens and deploys two rows of metal cigarette clasps that pop out. Exterior has all over luster wear/darkening and interior has scattered dust soiling. Fine overall. 4.5" long carved briarwood pipe w/stem shaped like baseball bat w/bowl being baseball. Side is lightly marked "Slugger - Imported Briar." Some lt. wear but VF overall. 6.75" dia. glazed ceramic ashtray has worn gold luster accent rim and interior has "Baseball Writers' Association Of America" name and logo as well as Jan. 23, 1961 date and "Saint Louis Chapter" designation. Underside is marked w/Denver M. Wright, Jr. Co. maker's name. Fine.
