Item Description
2-5/8x3-5.8" extra thick cardboard card w/foil front and bw reverse. Both sides have portrait image of President Roosevelt. Image on back is to be used w/the "Wrapper Screen" to give it movement. That was the basis for this 1934 set, ACC# R103. The basic set of 24 cards were on regular card stock and featured a variety of images such as animals, musicians and nursery rhyme characters. Each card back had text about obtaining either a "Cellophane Screen" or this "Foil Roosevelt Placque" for ten coupons from the wrappers. Very few must have chosen FDR as it is very rare w/only a few examples known today. Lt. trace of surface/edge wear to the foil front. Back has lt. aging. EX. In our Nov. 2015 auction we offered a lower grade example that sold for $354. A true non-sports rarity.
