Item Description
Items are about 1" to 2". Group begins with "Chicago Evening American/Junior Carrier" well made star badge. Next is a "Chicago 1936 Licensed Motor Vehicle Operator" badge with serial number "5180." Next are three radio premium or cereal badges naming Dick Steele, The Secret Three Detective Service, and one with the "Detective" rank from the Post's Cereal Junior Detective Club. Next is a small and rare oval brass pin with center title "Air Juniors." This came from one of the earliest radio clubs which encouraged kids to learn about aviation. The club was formed in 1929 sponsored by Commonwealth Edison Electric Shops and promoted over station "WENR" whose call letters appear on this badge along with lightning bolt accents. Next is arrowhead shaped badge from Wrigley's Gum sponsored program Chief Wolf Paw. Next badge showing roller skater is dated 1930 and names Chicago "Board Of Education." Next with roller skate names "Hollywood Roller Club." Ice skate names "Planert." Wing design smallest lapel stud has initials standing probably for Chicago Aeronautical Club. Next is rare wing badge with spade design at center. Next three items relate to "Lincoln Park Playgrounds." Two of these name "Girls Athletic Test" and they are quite similar but with tiny differences. Last shows a person diving into water with single word "Tarpon". Tiny wear traces on a couple of pieces but vast majority are NM displaying Mint.
