Item Description
Lot of three items used to promote the Columbia Batman serials; 1943's "Batman" and 1949's "Batman And Robin." Earliest item is 9.25x12.25" May 28, 1949 issue of the "Motion Picture Herald" which features 54 pages including full page ad for "Batman And Robin" w/bw illustrations. Issue has some handling wear w/age spotting along cover margins and some corner creases. Fine overall. Extremely limited distribution, just sent to theater owners and those in the trade. 10-7/8x14" Mexican lobby card for 1950s re-release of "Batman And Robin" features specialty art of the characters as well as inset photo scene from serial showing both characters. Pin holes at corner w/.25" tear at top left w/archival tape repairs on reverse to 1.75" and 3" tears along left. VG. 5-1/8x8.5" 1966 Edition of Columbia Pictures Corp. "8mm Home Movies" catalog features full page ad for home movie version of the 1943 "Batman" serial, listing the first six chapters w/photo images from the serial. Also features Three Stooges, Flintstones, Mr. Magoo and others. Vertical fold at center w/some lt. handling wear and pinch creases to spine. Fine overall.
