Item Description
Pair of 8.5x11" handbills. First is for Sept. 6, 1968 concert w/Vanilla Fudge, Soft Machine and Eire Apparent at the Seattle Center Coliseum in Seattle, WA. Handbill features two negative images of Hendrix surrounding classic photo of the rock legend. Exc. Second is for Sept. 27, 1969 concert that was to take place at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, TX. After Hendrix's memorable appearance at Woodstock in Aug., 1969, he disbanded the Band of Gypsies and canceled a number of tour dates, opting to stay in the studio to record instead. To the dismay of his Texas fans, this show at Will Rogers Coliseum was one of many that were canceled. Hendrix made it back to Fort Worth in 1970, only a few months before his untimely death. Handbill features a same classic photo image as other handbill in this lot. Lower right has sliver of insect damage along margin in 2.25" area w/other scattered minor margin wear. Fine.
