Item Description
Lot of three 1950s items produced for Bertie the Bunyip, a puppet character on Philadelphia, PA TV station WRCV-TV. Bertie was based on a mythological Australian creature, a cross between a Collie dog, bunny and duck-billed platypus. Lot includes bagged chalkboard w/"The Lee Dexter Show" label at top and photo insert of Dexter w/his puppet characters. Comes w/box of chalk w/Bertie's name on it. Factory-sealed and unused. Header card has even aging but contents are Exc. 9x17.5" bag w/header card reading "Adventures Of Bertie The Bunyip" and contains gameboard w/"Lee Dexter's Big Rascals" puppet/puppeteer photo. Comes w/punch-out card w/character images and die-cut building insert piece. Header card/bag shows aging/wear and are Fine/VF. Contents are unused and Exc. Last item is 2.5x4" double-sided membership card for "The Bunyip Club." Unused and NM. Little was produced for this regional show and all is rare.
