Item Description
8x12.5" high quality die-cut cardboard display includes 7.5" tall die-cut figure of Howdy Doody sitting on rocking horse listening to his watch. Figure is attached to front of display and rocks back and forth as intended when battery is placed in holder on back of display. As is typical of w/these types of displays, battery placement area is complete w/all parts and clean but display does not function. Ever Tick Corp. ©1950 Kagran. Card includes text "Ticks Like A Real Watch - Pick It Up! Hear It Tick! See It Tick! Glows In The Dark." Card also features images of Dilly Dally and Princess. Card has some even aging and corner tip/edge wear w/.5" puncture to attached cardboard Howdy figure. Lower right corner has 2x3" corner reattached w/tape on reverse, but this does not greatly detract as mostly hidden by separate piece holding watch. Easel back has some tape repairs and is missing bottom stand portion. Displays VG. Slots at bottom of card hold 1x1.25" plated tin case toy watch w/original leatherette strap and plastic crystal. Dial illustration of TV set w/die-cut screen featuring miniature Howdy face on sensitive spring that causes it to jiggle rapidly and produce ticking sound by slightest touch. Plastic crystal shows some wear and dial is evenly aged. Fine. Rare and only the second example we've offered in our 49 years.
