Item Description
This ring is documented by a 4x6.75" mailer from General Foods with expiration date December 31, 1937. Front cover carries photo of Gehrig batting with text "Look Inside For Your 40 Free Gifts."  Back cover has photo of "The Iron Man Of Sport And President Of the Huskies Club" eating the cereal. Mailer included photos of sports stars such as Tony Lazzeri, Frank Frisch, Bill Terry, Charlie Grimm, as well as stars of other sports. Premiums offered included this ring inscribed "Huskies Club" plus a similar pin, baseball uniform and equipment, Daisy water pistol and other items. We've had that folder only once in our 49 years and this ring only about three times. Side bands show baseball, bat, boxing gloves, football, tennis racket and three balls. Top has club logo of a discus thrower and the text "Huskies Club." One side of ring has a barely perceptible indentation mentioned for total accuracy but overall condition displays  Mint and this is a unique example plated in 18K gold by the former owner. Rare.
