Item Description
8.25x11x1.5" deep box contains Saalfield puzzle #1516. ©1940 Superman, Inc. Part of a series of boxed Superman puzzles. This is "Superman Stands Alone" puzzle, lid featuring bw image of puzzle that depicts Superman overlooking lighthouse (same image as following item #2056). Two end panels feature "Superman" comic book title/logo. Box lid has scattered dust soiling and edge wear w/left end panel having .25x1.25" strip of surface paper lift. Thin strip of tape of right end panel w/staining on bottom edge as once taped shut. Fine overall. Puzzle has assembled size of 16x20" and is complete. Pieces show scattered aging w/around a dozen pieces (including some on Superman's body) having surface paper breaks. One piece by lighthouse has .5" area of missing surface paper. Fine overall.
