Item Description
Complete 15-piece set for tea service for six. 1930s set by Faiencerie d'Onnaing China Co. of France. This company made this set in two different Art Deco designs, one w/stepped ring design w/silver or gold accent trim and this scarcer set which was done in geometric shapes w/black accent trim. Set consists of six 2-1/8" tall handled cups w/two different images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Set also contains six 4.75" dia. saucers w/two different images of Horace Horsecollar and Clarablle Cow plus repeated image of Pluto. Cups and saucers have company mark on undersides w/"Mickey Mouse" stamp. Set also includes 4.75" tall lidded sugar bowl w/images of Mickey w/letters and alarmed Minnie on sides, lid has small images of Mickey, Pluto and Minnie w/letter. Next is 4.75" tall creamer w/same images as on sides of sugar bowl. Next is 9" tall teapot w/differing/larger images of Mickey calling and Minnie w/umbrella on sides. Lid has same smaller images as lid of sugar bowl. Sugar bowl, creamer and teapot all have incised company name on undersides. Two cups have tiny rim nicks/flakes. VF overall. Saucers show some lt. scattered wear from use and are VF-Exc. overall. Sugar bowl has tiny corner chip to handle but is o/w VF. Creamer has tiny flake to inside of spout, but this is as produced as glazed over. VF/Exc. Teapot images show scattered wear but is o/w VF. Nicely designed and detailed set.
