Item Description
Lot of three items produced for the Japanese market, c. 1960s. Each bears Doglas Kenrick copyright. 11x12" (not counting handles) vinyl tote bag features great image of Superman disarming gunman. This image is repeated in smaller scale on back. Bag features interior pocket and is complete w/vinyl-encased cardboard tag in shape of Superman symbol w/image of him on it. This doubled as name tag. Back also has tiny Superman shield sticker, though this has aged. Scattered lt. aging (more moderate to handles), but o/w VF. Comes w/pair of 7x9-7/8" notebooks, w/unlined pages. One features cover image of Superman fighting dinosaur while the other shows him battling large hairy monster. Back of each has different small Superman image and inside front covers have additional art related to front covers while inside back covers feature same Superman image and Japanese text. Pinch creases to spine but o/w unused and VF/Exc. All are scarce. Franco Toscanini Collection.
