Item Description
8x10x1.5" deep illustrated cardboard box contains complete set No. 94 (see catalog, previous item #2058) by Daisy Manufacturing Company, 1940. Box is evenly aged and lid shows corner wear w/.25" chips at bottom edges of each corner and .25" tear at the other. Complete w/die-cut illustrated insert (which is complete w/separate piece used to secure gun) which has detailed description of gun's features and list of filmstrip titles. 1" tear above gun area. Box is Fine overall and much nicer than typically found. 7" long battery-operated steel film viewer gun is nicely designed w/raised image of Superman on the left side. Incised "Superman Krypto Raygun" name on grip. Gun is missing bulb and as such has not been tested. Gun exhibits very little wear and is about as nice as these come. VF/Exc. Has all seven complete 16mm bw filmstrips, all of which feature Superman. Film strips are VF/Exc. Final item is instruction paper w/list of films on back and this includes image of Superman as well as Red Ryder. Evenly aged w/moderate margin wear w/some handling wear. .75" stain at lower left. VG. Comes w/two complete vintage magazines featuring different ads for this classic Superman item. Scarce as boxed and complete. Franco Toscanini Collection.
