Item Description
1.5" w/ Regal Emblem Co. back paper. Repeating graphic of a black and white hand shaking w/text "Bury" at center and text "Jim Crow" on tombstone at bottom flanked at edges w/text "Jan." and "1950." Additional text at top "Button Of The Month Club." We are not aware of other buttons in the series and presume that this is the first of a set that never materialized. The Labor Youth League was the reestablished youth organization of the Communist Party USA and formed in 1949. For complete accuracy we note that the surface is flat rather than convex. Minimal wear, full gloss and perfect centering. NM displaying Mint. A truly rare civil rights artifact.
