Item Description
7.5x11x4.5" deep cardboard box w/space and helmet illustrations contains complete three-piece helmet. There were two versions of this helmet made, one was a premium which came in plain shipping box and one was sold in stores. This is the store version. Plaxall Inc. © The Du Mont Television Network. c. 1951. Box shows scattered wear w/.5" and 1.5" edge splits at top flap, corner tip wear w/some edge creases. Fine overall. Box is scarce. Helmet is made out of thin fragile plastic. Clear front face shield (w/circular opening as made) swings up to reveal face. Forehead of helmet has "Official Captain Video Space Helmet" text design in gold. Helmet shows obvious aging wear w/tape repairs to all but two grommets and seven edge cracks ranging from .25" to 1.25" in length. Good/VG overall.
