Item Description
6.5" tall die-cut tin litho w/spring plunger mechanism on back depicts Mickey Mouse holding pair of drumsticks and has jointed arms w/separate orange drum w/green rims/drumheads attached to pants w/his name on the front. This is variation w/plain drumhead. Toy No. 173 distributed by Geo. Borgfeldt, 1931. Missing separate tin tail used to prop toy up. Toy works well and when mechanism is activated, the separate drumhead rapidly moves up and down as a drumming noise is produced and in turn causes Mickey's arms to move as if he is drumming. Scattered paint marks w/some trace oxidation. Plunger head on reverse has slight bend. Drumhead shows lt. wear from use. Toy remains totally bright and glossy. Fine.
