5x6.25x6-5/8" tall hollow painted plaster bank. ©1946 Hanzen. Bank depicts World War II pop culture character Kilroy, closely associated w/GIs and known for the "Kilroy Was Here" graffiti. This bank has incised "Kilroy Banks Here" text at bottom of fence Kilroy peers over. Backside has incised copyright and "To Open - Cut - Hole In Bottom" directions. A few small paint flakes including .25" just below coin slot at top of Kilroy's forehead. VF overall. Very rare and the first we've offered in our 49 years.
