Item Description
11.25" tall solid plaster statue. Base is variety of raised text (we've also seen a variety w/paper label) reading "I Got My Jap!" Soldier holds rifle in one hand and small stereotypical Tojo-faced Japanese character in other. Body of Tojo appears hunched over, as if being held down. Soldier features smiling expression. Back of base has incised "© Incrocci-Novelties" name. Statue was broken at waist and has been professionally repaired and rifle end has been replaced. These repairs blend perfectly and are only noticeable upon close inspection. Displays Exc. Very rare World War II statue. Eric Renner Collection and the example shown on page 222 of his book "American Disguise."
