Item Description
6x9" presentation folder for "Award For Excellence In War Production" that was issued by the US Army and Navy to the York Safe and Lock Co. of York, PA Nov. 4, 1942. The company was a major contractor for both the Army and Navy. Folder includes reproduction correspondence between Navy officials and plant president w/award ceremony program, including patriotic songs. Some scattered aging/handling wear. VF overall. Comes w/envelope and cardstock card issued to each York Safe and Lock Co. employee along w/included 7/8" wide Army/Navy "E" Excellence in War Production award badge. Card and badge are Exc. Lot also includes Exc./NM employee badge No. 5077 for York Safe and Lock Co.
