Item Description
Large 9.75" tall (to tip of raised trunk) all celluloid wind-up w/built-in key depicts anthropomorphic elephant in buttoned jacket w/fabric ribbon. He holds separate metal bell in one hand and separate celluloid sheet that reads "Welcome! See Our Circus" as well as bearing "CK" Japanese maker mark and registration/trademark information. Made in Japan by Kuramochi & Co., 1930s. Functions include moving head, moving arms that ring bell and wave sign. All functions work well. Free of any cracks/dents. NM w/strong color. Great pre-War Japanese wind-up.
