Item Description
Large and impressive 12" tall painted plaster statue. c. 1920s. Front of base features "Mrs. Jiggs" and "Mr. Jiggs" incised text and statue depicts the "Bringing Up Father" characters posed beside tree trunk. Minimally painted, statues features lt. pink base coat w/just a few painted accents. Scattered wear, mainly to brim of Jiggs' hat, Maggie's chest and tip of their shoes, statue also has a few small paint flakes and some scattered dust soiling. Missing tiny separate wood stick cigar to be placed in Jiggs' mouth, easily replaced. Fine overall. Very rare and first we've seen in our 49 years. Eric Renner Collection.
