Item Description
Button sizes are 11/16" up to 4". In litho tin are the pair of large 4" buttons in row 1 plus first and third buttons in row 2. Those in this group which are Muchinsky book photo examples are row 2 #3, the pair of 3.5" buttons in row 3 and the last button in row 1. The "Garter" button in row 1 is in the Muchinsky book but this is not the photo plate example. Muchinsky in his notes dated this button as circa 1910 and gave it a $2,000 value but in fact this button is circa 1950 and made by Imber, Chicago. This has tiny paint hairline on very bottom edge. Other buttons are Exc. to NM. Final item in the group has brass and celluloid "Official" hanger bar with "1963" on ribbon and suspended is enamel "Chicago White Sox" logo with the back of the piece marked "14K".
