Item Description
Well made 3.5" button issued for "2nd Annual" event with date of "Sept 6, 1965." Information coming from his biography states that on Labor Day, September 7, 1964, in the village of Millerton, Dutchess County, New York, his birthplace, an Eddie Collins Day was held. Apparently this began at least a two year tradition as this button is dated for the following year in 1965. There is a tiny darker dot beneath a 1/8" air spot on the second "N" of "Annual" as made with the button being essentially Mint as made with high gloss. Only example we've seen.
