Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 5.75" long plush-covered body w/tin litho eyes/nose/mouth and colorful tin litho butterfly attached to mouth via wire. Built-in key has stabilized moderate oxidation. Made in Japan by TPS/Rosko, 1960. Box is scarcer "Cassius The Cat" variety, not the more common "Pussy Cat Chasing Butterfly" variety. Box has some scattered handling wear w/corner creases to lid and 1" sliver off bottom edge of lid. Fine overall. Toys functions include - cat's tail quivers, arches back twice then "leaps" forward three times in an attempt to catch butterfly, repeats. Aside from key oxidation and bit of aging to one felt ear, VF overall.
